With the constant evolution of the mobility sector, TrenLab launched this second call for proposals in search of disruptive solutions that address three challenges: digitization of operations, to identify new sources of data and tools that transform them into knowledge enabling real-time decision-making; traveler communication, to enhance their experience and provide them with information proactively; and integral mobility operator, to facilitate customer mobility by incorporating all transportation options into a single platform.

The best proposals for these challenges have resulted in the ten finalists of TrenLab’s second call for submissions:

The finalists will pitch at TrenLab’s Startup Day, where they will defend their projects before a jury composed of executives from Renfe, Telefónica, and experts from the entrepreneurial ecosystem. At the Startup Day, the next selected startups for the second edition of TrenLab will be chosen.

At mid-month, the winning startups will be announced, selected based on attributes such as scalability and the differentiated value of the proposals, and they will receive… a prize of up to €50,000. accompanied by a personalized six-month acceleration program comprised of the best mentors and experts tailored to each project. Additionally, they will gain access to Barrabés.biz’s global network, consisting of 11 hubs in 10 countries, and business development opportunities with Telefónica and Renfe.

They will take over from Limmat Group, Zeleros, Iomob, and Nixi1, the four startups from the first edition of TrenLab, which provide solutions such as a chat that streamlines travel booking, the development of the Spanish hyperloop, the digitization of railway infrastructure and materials, or the aggregation of all mobility options into a new open platform.
