Call for proposals: Round 5
Renfe has been committed to digital transformation for years, as outlined in its Strategic Plan, and in the era of In the era of Industry 5.0Driven by the convergence of new technologies, new opportunities emerge opportunities that will enable us to be at the forefront in the application of new maintenance and manufacturing management systems., reducing maintenance costs and improving the lifecycle of rolling stock.
The challenge
We are seeking innovative technological projects in the field of railway manufacturing and maintenance, focused on digitization and the integration of new Industry 5.0 technologies (IoT, Big Data, asset management, process digitization, augmented reality, additive manufacturing, computer vision, etc.).
The call for submissions is closed.”
What are we looking for?
Below are examples of possible solutions for this challenge; however, candidates may propose any solution not included as long as it aligns with the challenge:
- Health check systems for vehicles, referring to comfort, video, Wi-Fi, or any other component, through QR codes or any other type of code, that passengers can report.
- Solutions that enable the calculation of a vehicle’s “health” and predict potential breakdowns through any mobile device.
- Solutions that allow for the management and traceability of repairable and non-repairable parts of all rolling stock through process digitization throughout the lifecycle of these parts.
- Systems that allow for tracking the activity history of a vehicle through its UIC (International Union of Railways) numbering.
- Implementation solution for a control center for transferring information between systems.
- Interactive inspection systems via mobile devices that automate the manual inspection conducted by technicians.
- Digitization of inspection forms.
- Solutions that facilitate data capture by operators in production processes (maintenance, inspection forms, controls, etc.) through voice recognition technologies, data capture via cognitive automation, robotic process automation, etc.
