We intend to continue to promote the development of the most revolutionary technological projects focused on promoting the digitalization of Renfe's security systems.

What we were looking for:

Development of new algorithms for obtaining data (train number, gauging, graffiti detection, etc.) applying AI to the video stream of IP cameras.
Development of a platform for managing predictive maintenance of safety systems that allows the collection of technical data from safety devices and the optimization of their maintenance.
Generation of 3D models from photos and videos for the study and analysis of critical infrastructures, land, environmental control or infrastructure maintenance.
Platform for the automatic detection of relevant events published through social networks that affect security aspects such as alerts, demonstrations, fires, etc.
Development of a CCTV platform for the incorporation of other video capture sources (smartphones, indoor drones, robots, etc.) to the existing system for monitoring in control centers.

Metaverse in mobility

We intend to be the first European railway operator to explore the possibilities of the metaverse applied to the mobility sector, seeking to develop the first use cases applied to transport, with the objective of examining its potential and evaluating the balance between the physical and virtual world.

What we were looking for:

Creation of virtual environments that simulate railway stations and trains.
Development of collaboration and communication tools in real time to allow users to interact with each other and with the railway operator.
Metaverse-based solutions to improve the traveler experience

We seek to develop a virtual reality tool that integrates training needs in driving, digitizing real infrastructure environments and specific vehicles, allowing the training of situations and skills necessary to complement safety training for driving personnel.

In order to remain the most environmentally friendly mode of passenger transport, we need solutions that contribute to increasing our leadership, in line with our strategic plan: promoting the use of public transport, new models that can mitigate environmental impact, systems that contribute to the energy transition (green hydrogen, natural gas, biomethane...), new sustainable and ecological materials for passenger trains.

What we were looking for:

Solutions that promote the use of public transport in regular daily commutes.
Solutions that help purify and clean the air in underground suburban stations that contribute to improving the health and well-being of travelers and workers.
Solutions that involve and raise customer awareness in reducing their carbon footprint not only on the train journey, but also on their entire journey.
Technical solutions that improve the energy efficiency of trains.
Development of technologies that allow cleaner and more efficient propulsion systems.
