We aimed to continue fostering the development of the most revolutionary technological projects focused on driving the digitalization of Renfe's security systems.

Development of new algorithms for data acquisition (train registration, passenger counts, graffiti detection, etc.) by applying AI to the video stream from IP cameras.
Development of a platform for predictive maintenance management of security systems that allows for the collection of technical data from security devices and the optimization of their maintenance.
Generation of 3D models from photos and videos for the study and analysis of critical infrastructure, terrain, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure maintenance.
Platform for the automatic detection of relevant events published on social media that affect security aspects, such as alerts, demonstrations, fires, etc.
Development of a CCTV platform to integrate other video capture sources (smartphones, indoor drones, robots, etc.) into the existing system for monitoring in control centers.

Metaverse in Mobility Challenge

We aimed at being the first European rail operator to explore the possibilities of the metaverse applied to the mobility sector, seeking to develop the first use cases applied to transportation in order to examine its potential and evaluate the balance between the physical and virtual worlds.

With the goal of remaining the most environmentally friendly mode of passenger transport, we need solutions that contribute to increasing our leadership, in line with our strategic plan: promoting the use of public transport, new models that mitigate environmental impact, systems that contribute to the energy transition (green hydrogen, natural gas, biomethane, etc.), and new sustainable and eco-friendly materials for passenger trains.
